How Many Circles Do You See? The Answer Is 16 — Don’t Let the Target Fool You

The answer is 16.

Here’s the full count, area by area:

  • The target in the middle: 3 circles. Those three rings are three separate circles, not one — this is where almost everybody loses 2.
  • The grid: 9 circles. Three rows of three, one circle in each square of the 3×3 grid.
  • The corners: 4 circles. One small circle tucked into each corner of the picture.

3 + 9 + 4 = 16 circles.

If you said 14, you counted the target as a single circle. If you said 13, you did that AND missed a corner. Drop your number in the comments — and if you nailed all 16, you’re officially the person your friends should never play counting games against.
