GAME Spot the Difference: Bakery — All 8 Differences, Listed

There are exactly 8 differences — here is every one of them.

Two cozy bakery pictures, side by side: the glass display case, the chalkboard menu, the pendant lights, the bread shelves, the baker and the café tables. Twins at first glance. Not twins. Work the room in order and check each one off:

  1. Croissants in the display case, top shelf: 5 in the first picture → 4 in the second. One croissant is gone.
  2. The cake in the center of the case: it has a strawberry on top in the first picture → no strawberry in the second.
  3. The chalkboard menu: it reads “PIE $4” in the first picture → “PIE $5” in the second. (Inflation comes for us all.)
  4. Pendant lights: 3 hanging lights in the first picture → 2 in the second — the middle light is missing.
  5. The bread shelf: the top shelf is full in the first picture → one loaf missing in the second, leaving a gap.
  6. The baker’s tray: in the first picture the tray is holding muffins → in the second picture the tray is empty.
  7. The café table out front: two cups in the first picture → one cup in the second.
  8. The baker’s apron: plain white in the first picture → red-checkered in the second.

Count them back: croissant, strawberry, chalkboard price, pendant light, loaf, muffins, cup, apron — that’s 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Exactly eight, no more hiding. The sneakiest of the set is usually the chalkboard: your eye reads “PIE” and moves on, never checking the number beside it. And the apron fools people the longest, because your brain files “baker in an apron” as one picture and stops looking at what the apron actually looks like.

How many did you find before you peeked — all 8, or did the price of pie sneak past you? Tell us below, and watch our page for the next spot-the-difference.
