GAME How Many Circles Are in This Picture? The Answer Is 19

The answer is 19 circles.

This picture is built to make you undercount, because most of the circles are hiding in plain sight — stacked inside each other. Let’s count it in the only two groups there are:

  • The two target clusters: There are 2 clusters, and each one is made of exactly 5 concentric rings — circle inside circle inside circle, like a target. 2 × 5 = 10 circles. This is where most people lose the count: a target LOOKS like one thing, but every ring is its own complete circle, and every one of them counts.
  • The single circles: Scattered between the clusters are 9 plain single circles — one ring each, nothing inside them. 9 × 1 = 9 circles.

Now add them up: 10 + 9 = 19.

And that’s the whole picture — there are no other circular shapes in the frame: no dots, no coins, no buttons, no wheels sneaking an extra circle into your total. If you landed on 10, you counted the singles and one cluster’s rings but treated the targets as single objects. If you landed on 14, you probably counted one target properly and skimmed the other. The full, careful count is 10 ring circles + 9 singles = 19.

Did the rings fool you, or did you peel every target apart ring by ring? Be honest in the comments — and watch our page for tomorrow’s counting game.
