The answer is 20 hearts.
Count them in two groups, because that’s how the picture is built. First, the big ones: 12 large hearts arranged in a neat grid — 3 across, 4 down. 3 × 4 = 12. Run your finger across each row and you’ll get 3, 6, 9, 12.
Now the part most people miss. Around the bow in the center sits a ring of 8 small hearts. They’re easy to skate past because your eye files them as decoration — but they’re hearts, they count, and there are eight of them.
12 + 8 = 20. And that’s the whole design: a 12-heart grid plus an 8-heart ring, nothing hidden anywhere else.
Did you land on 20, or did you stop at 12 and call the little ones decoration? Be honest in the comments — and watch our page for tomorrow’s counting game.
